This is my AG story.
My family started getting the catalogs when I was very young and I loved the dolls in them and I really wanted to get one but my parents weren't sure about it. They were so expensive and I was so young. I still have memories of when i was younger looking through the catalogs and cutting them up so I could "play" with them. Then one of my friends (a super close one) started getting AG's and I always wanted to play with them but she didn't like me playing with them for some reason. I then started Our Generation dolls- in like 2007! I remember opening my first Our Generation doll, AND HER ARM FELL OFF! Luckily I got a new one. Fast forwards to 2007 or 2008. My parents told me I could get an AG doll, but I would have to save up the money myself. Now you might say that's not bad, but I was really young. In 2009, the new girl of the year came out. It was Chrissa Maxwell!(+ companions) At the time Chrissa looked a ton like me and when I finally got enough money I bought her. We had soooo much fun together! Then in 2010 MAGs were released. I had. Enough money for a doll, and I really wanted one to look like me. (FYI they have no dolls that are my look-alikes. Then for the Christmases there after I always got something AG. I loved my dolls but didn't play. With them a lot in 2011. I sort of did since my little sister got her first doll, but only a little. In 2012 my family took a trip to Canada. (It was epic there) But on the way we went to AGplace Boston, where I really started liking my dolls a lot again. Go to summer 2013. I got a load of money from my birthday and I wanted to get Saige's starter collection. My Mom was leaning towards no because before she had said only 2 dolls per kid. In the end I didn't get her but I was still really wanting another doll. Then the Today Show Jill's Steals and deals came along. My mom buckled and bought 3 dolls, and for Christmas I got Marie-Grace whom I customized into a modern doll named Abbigail or Abbi for short. That pretty much leaves me here in the present. I am so greatful to God for blessing me with awesome friends and family. I hope to still collect for a long time and convince my mom to let me have another doll.
